Here’s the blurb for y’all to update your TBR list:
Mariam is only fifteen when she is sent to Kabul to marry Rasheed. Nearly tw decades later, a friendship grows between Mariam and a local teenager, Laila, as strong as the ties between mother and daughter. When the Taliban take over, life becomes a desperate struggle against starvation, brutality, and fear. Yet love can move people to act in unexpected ways and lead them to overcome the most daunting obstacles with startling heroism.
Honestly, I’m writing a review of this book after reading it very late, i.e., more than 2 months….. So, I kind of forgot about the style and writing and all.
So, talking about this book, it wasn’t really good. It was such bad writing, and I didn’t seem to enjoy this book while reading. It’s like a very orthodox kind of thinking.
But I had to say I enjoyed the last part of the story and some parts too.
For me, this book is a 1/5.
