I just don’t know why critics considered this book smutty or a book for kids!? I mean, I’ve also purchased this book for the very same reason, but having the privilege to read this till the end made me realise how wrong I was in my prejudice.
From the start, I didn’t really enjoy the character of Ryle. Like, there were many reasons, but I loved how open they were to each other from the start….. about certain things only in the form of naked truths!! Also, idk, I just kind of felt like he’s just manipulating and using Lily to satisfy his needs- showing efforts just for the sake of it and ofc, he was a damn narcissist- he never understood Lily after hurting her and repeatedly said sorry to her and somehow tried to justify his mistakes on his anger issues. I absolutely loathe that scene where he justifies himself after telling her about his brother’s incident.
lily! um I’d say she was a strong character, it was just women in love are weak sorta scene. Otherwise, she was pretty decent to read about. also her being able to compromise and getting him compromised is really commendable!
atlasss!! bhai bhai, I loved his character. I mean, it was pretty boring to read her diary entries, or should I say, I was really hoping to read about him ASAP. ykwim. also him always walking out wasn’t the sign of weakness; it was just pure love, where he’s happy for Lily if she’s happy! felt bad for young atlas and somewhere felt the need to read more bout his past but hoping to read it in the next book I guess:) and from a homeless to a award winning, famous chef by his own >>>>
Lily’s mother!!!! I love love her confrontation, or more like comfort-ation scene at the end! I’d love to read that chapter again someday – 32. I mean, her perspective was a need for readers as well as Lily! ngl, I was kind of afraid at some point of that scene in which Lily tries to talk and even after birthing her own daughter, she’ll reconcile with Ryle…. but she didn’t bc of her own damn mother’s words!
Alyssa! What a beautiful, beautiful character. a friend who’s always in need. despite being his sister, when she always tried to be with the right, Lily, ofc, was too 🩷 AAAAAGGHHHHH I truly loved her convos with anyone. truly heart-wrenching moments after breaking hearts. I hope it makes sense! 😏

I truly enjoyed this book, and the ending’s chapters were really heart-wrenching, and those were love!
So I’d rate this book a solid 5/5. Even some grammatical errors (I guess) didn’t annoy me, and oof, I loved it.
