King OF Pride

Title: King of pride

Author: Ana Huang

Genre: romance

Publisher: Bloom Books

Here’s the blurb for y’all to update your TBR list:

Reserved, controlled, and proper to a fault,

Kai Young has neither the time nor inclination for chaos – and Isabella, with her purple hair and inappropriate jokes, is chaos personified.

With a crucial CEO vote looming and a media empire at stake, the billionaire heir can’t afford the distraction she brings.

Isabella is everything he shouldn’t want, but with every look and every touch, he’s tempted to break all his rules…… and claim her as his own.

Bold, Impulsive, and dull of life,

Isabella Valencia has never met a party she doesn’t like or a man she couldn’t charm….. except for Kai Young.

It shouldn’t matter. He’s not her type – the man translates classics into Latin for fun, and his membership at the exclusive club where she bartends means he’s strictly off-limits.

But she can’t deny that, beneath his cool exterior, is a man who could make her melt with just a touch.

No matter how hard they try, they can’t resist giving in to their forbidden desires.

Even if it costs them everything.

I wouldn’t say I didn’t enjoy reading this book, but there were many instances where I felt like reading this book was a TASK. I mean, it was very much predictable from the starting and there were no major plot twists as well.

The couple didn’t really had a chemistry chemistry with each other- I mean, many a time it felt forced and….. not correctly paired. Also, their initial attraction/hate towards each other was like, poorly written. I can’t seem to process their initial phases of likeness. But the confession was cute nonetheless!

I… very times thought that they’re someone who’s not good with conversations (with each other- for the sake of comfort and just be there), but it’s just that they focus on solving an issue and create a solution for the problem!

P.S. Parents and older people in this book are really infuriating, and they literally seem to lose their plot till the end iykyk!

So, I’d rate this book 3/5- conversation were missing, and too much inner turmoil was going on in their head’s.
