Reading Maniac

HONESTLY, after reading the first book, I was so damn excited about reading his pov but knowing that he’s just going to be…. the abandoned lover because of his insecurities (it was) and her LOVE is so…. depressing to read. Like, he’s always going to be the third person between them, maybe, but it’s okay, as of now. We can just offer him some sympathies and…. he’s not going to be THAT good as in the first book, but rather be villainised to give ML a favour?!  (I don’t know, it was just my thought process before reading this book)

 

He’s really a narcissistic ass. Like bro- also, he really underestimates Juliette, and at some points I don’t even know if it’s outta love or just that he considers her weak.

 

The whole of Adam’s decision is practical that it feels hard to digest! He’s thinking from a very pragmatic pov which is fine, but bruh- you don’t deserve her, still. Like idk some part really bicker me about his pov bout her and their relationship, as she left you for her own good or wtv. You never truly understood her. She left you because of you! She thought she was hurting you! But, boys, damn!

 

But some things got pretty clear after reading his book. bro is good, but bro isn’t ML, so bro deserves sympathy! Also, I truly believe he also deserves better. Like bro!? There were no conversations about that break-up – it was all about changes and transformation and all……. communication gap was an issue which is understandable from Juliette’s pov but bro deserves sympathy too.

 

James and his scenes were so cutu!

 

Also, the cliffhanger in both books, where they both think everyone’s dead (Ignite, 1st chapter, and this book). Is it really funny yet sad?

 

I’d rate this book a solid 4/5- it was a great closure to his character, I guess? and please, I don’t want to see more sympathy from his side after the revelation about his ex’s relationship 😏
